  • 73yo woman who began having pain shooting
  • down her right leg 1 month prior to admission,
  • lower back pain which worsened, and
  • subsequent loss of sensation in her distal right
  • leg including the ankle and foot, as well as
  • weakness of the foot. The symptoms persisted
  • and 3 wks later had trouble climbing stairs
  • with 2/2 weakness.
